we were showed about a bajillion different buildings, and i think i remember 3? of them.
however, one thing i DID notice while touring, was how proud they all were of their facilities.
for example
cassette players in every desk in the korean center!
anddddd 'plasma tv! we have 1!' in the japanese center.
(there are different 'centers' for every language at the university.)
the campus, is about 5 miles in circumference, which... is quite insane.
many people smiled and knew we were americans.
but there were many many people of different nationalities in the language center, which is where we will be. it was good.
have yet to meet my jordanian professor, but boyyyy am i thrilled. and so nervous.
there is only 4 people in my class: matt, stephen, sandra and myself. we all get to survive together.
oh joys.
maisel's class is going to be insane, too. it will involve going to markets and buying things for maisel. (i.e. "ya miranda, get me 4 oranges.") ahhhh!!!!!
and we also have presentations. and dialogues. and translating newspapers. and, haha, we have to watch arabic tv and discuss the different trends we see.
all fun and games.
until the zero tolerance for english beginsssss. argggghh!
and i am tired now. but hopefully this goes well enough. all arabic. sheesh.
YO, whatchoo worryin about, dawwwg? yall got phat arab skillz. wooot first post!11!
